Hi, I'm Catherine Murry and I'm your Patchwork Star Reporter this year. I've been in the guild off and on for over thirty years. I love to see everyone's creativity. It's especially fun to make new friends. I hope you will say yes and share hour story with the guild. We would love to see you quilts too. At the meeting there will be a table for you to see the patchwork Star's quilts and get to meet her.

Kathleen Gerds - May Patchwork Star
I’m excited to introduce to you Kathleen Gerds as our Patchwork Star this month. She joined our guild one year after retiring from teaching.
She started quilting in High School where a lady taught hand quilting. She had seen her grandmother do appliqué. Later as a military wife she traveled to Virginia, Alabama and Rhode Island. She went to quilt shows, took classes and went to a weekly quilting group. When she got to California she found Luella’s Quilt Shop. She enjoyed doing the block of the month. At a sit and sew she met Pam Overton who invited her to join our guild. We’re glad she did!
