Dropbox Folder Sharing
SBQG is moving towards sharing files via Dropbox (instead of emailing large files). To support increased activity, we now pay a monthly fee to increase our SBQG Dropbox quota. However, if your personal Dropbox quota is small or full, and you “join” the SBQG Dropbox folders to your account, you may receive warnings about your space being full, and you could lose access to needed SBQG files.

To avoid this and ensure you can access everything you need, please follow the instructions below for sharing/receiving invites to folders without impacts to your personal quota:

1) Share files/folder: Send a LINK (Do not use the SHARE button)
a. Add your files to the desired folder
b. Hover over the folder if it is a subfolder
c. Click on what looks like a double ring
d. Click on the “get Link”
e. Compose an email message and paste (right mouse->paste) the link into the message
f. Finish composing your email
g. IMPORTANT: Do not use the SHARE button. It will send a request to “Join” and count toward the recipient’s personal storage quota. They might not be able to access the folder/files if they're out of personal space.

2) If someone sends you a "Join" invite (they used the SHARE button)
a. DO NOT click the “Join” button (you will be impacting your personal Dropbox quota)
b. Reply to the sender and ask for a link instead
